Elvis Presley’s Divorce Papers Auctioned for $8.9K; Details of Settlement with Priscilla Revealed

Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s divorce settlement papers were auctioned on Tuesday to an undisclosed buyer for $8,963. Heritage Auctions presided over the auction in Dallas.

The settlement agreement is 12 pages and dated August 15, 1972. Under the agreement, Priscilla received a 1971 Mercedes-Benz, a 1969 Cadillac El Dorado, a 1971 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, $100,000 in cash, and half the proceeds from the sale of three houses in California.

It was previously believed that Elvis paid Priscilla $1.7 million to settle their divorce. The couple was married for six years and their divorce was finalized in October 1973.
